This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the personal data that we process, when using our website, https://www.go-guided.com/, and our IOS or Android app (in this Policy together referenced as “the App”). By using our App, you hereby consent to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

We are Guided Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with a company number 15150942 (“Guided”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We’re the data controller as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation.

Personal data we process​
​​Depending on your use of the App, we may process the following data, which may include personal data:

(a) Contact information. If you create a Guided account, you provide us with your name and email address, which we use to ensure your saved places and other personalisation features are synced across your devices; When you log in using Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from them.

(b) Places and preferences. You may choose to provide us with information on your travel preferences, such as saved routes, places, and other preferences. We use this information to develop personalised travel-planning services. We also analyse this data in aggregated form to improve the App (for example, when you save the routes based on your preferences).

(c) Direct communications. When you communicate with us (for example when you respond to in-App survey questions, contact our support or send queries) we may receive information about the type of phone you're using, your service provider and, if you've enabled the location permissions in your device, the latitude and longitude of your location when you contact us. We use this information to resolve problems in the App or reply to your queries.

(d) Location Information. We use the location data you share as described in this section, to improve results in the App and for the purposes identified below.
- App users: If you've enabled your device's location services, we may collect and use your location information when you open the App. If you disable your device's location services, we collect only the locations, e.g. start and end point, that you search manually.
- Device Information: We collect information about the devices you use to access our App, including the type of computer or device you use and the installation ID of the App on your device. This information is necessary for us to diagnose bugs and improve the App.
- Log and Usage Information: Each time you open the App, we collect information about how and when you use it (such as the time and date, searches in the App features and journey results you select, pages visited, app crashes and other system activity). We use this usage information to improve our App, including bug fixing.

(e) Cookies. When you visit our App, it sends a cookie to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your device when you visit a website and which store information about your use of the App. Cookies can identify user's device, but do not reveal the name, email address or other user identifiers. We use: (i) “session cookies” which last only for the duration of your web session and expire when you close your App; and (ii) “persistent cookies” which are used to remember you when you return to the App and will last for longer.
We use cookies to:
(i) remember that you have visited us before, which allows us to identify the number of unique visitors and ensure we have enough capacity for the number of users visiting and to customise content of the App;
(ii) collect information about how you use the App so that we can improve the App and learn which parts of the App are most useful.

Our legal basis for processing your data

- necessary for our legitimate interests, including developing, fixing and improving the App; verifying users' identity to prevent fraudulent or unauthorised use; and preventing breaches of our terms and policies or to prevent harmful or illegal activity;
- necessary for the performance of our contract with you (e.g., to give you the route options);
- necessary to comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements; and
- based on your consent (for example, where you provide us with marketing consents), which may be withdrawn at any time by contacting us at the email address specified below.

Where we store your data
​Information that you submit via the App is sent to and stored on secure servers located in the European Economic Area. Information submitted by you may be transferred by us to our other offices and/or to the third parties mentioned in the circumstances described above, which may be situated outside the European Economic Area (for instance in the United States).
